ICBC Standard Bank hires new heads of trading, funding and inventory
ICBC Standard Bank has appointed Adam Brake as head of trading and Evan Richards to lead funding and inventory in the base metals team in London. Brake joins the company from BNP Paribas and JPMorgan Chase, and Richards worked at Deutsche Bank previously. Both will report to Tim Wilson, the head of base metals.
GAM Investments names Juan Landazabal head of trading
GAM Investments has brought on board Juan Landazabal as the new global head of trading. Landazabal, who is based in London, joined the company on September 10, and will report to Matthew Beesley, head of investments. Landazabal previously worked at DWS Group and has held various trading and financial analyst roles in Madrid, New York and London.
Artemis appoints new chief risk officer
Artemis Investment has appointed Ross Millar as a partner and chief risk officer. Millar’s role will be in effect from December. He worked at Deloitte since 2006 where he is responsible for leading the Investment Management Risk Advisory Practice for EMEA, and is a member of Deloitte’s Investment Management Executive. Millar has advised various asset management companies and performed many senior secondments across risk as well as compliance functions.
