Barclays partners with Xero on business app

The bank’s customers can access their transaction data via the accounting software provider’s direct feed functionality.

Barclays has partnered with online accounting software firm Xero to provide UK businesses with access to their transaction data through the latter’s direct feed functionality. The bank’s customers using Xero will have the option to import and categorise their bank statements automatically across everyday accounts, term deposit, savings and foreign currency accounts, eliminating manual uploads and downloads and saving businesses time.

“The collaboration provides a secure and simple solution for joint customers, presenting their financial statements from their bank into their Xero app,” said the bank. “Barclays is the eighth bank to join Xero’s direct feeds technology.” The software provider enables UK small businesses to access quick, reliable financial information through Xero’s live data feed and bridges the void between businesses and world-class financial services.
