US electronic commerce (e-commerce) software publisher Commerce Guys has partnered with online payment processing company PayLeap Gateway Solutions to jointly deliver a merchant solution for the Commerce Kickstart application users. Commerce Guys is the developer of the Drupal Commerce e-commerce platform.
Under the deal, PayLeap’s secure payment platform will provide online fraud prevention, encryption, tokenisation and secure vault storage for Commerce Guys’ online merchants based in the US and Canada. All setups include a virtual terminal for face-to-face or hand-keyed transactions, with support of credit, debit, cheque/automated clearing house (ACH) and gift card transactions.
Merchants with website stores and physical store locations can use PayLeap’s transaction management and reporting platform for both online payment and card present transactions.
Prior to Drupal Commerce, Commerce Guys was involved in the development of Ubercart, an e-commerce shopping cart which used older versions of Drupal. Since the release of Drupal Commerce in August 2011, more than 10,000 Drupal Commerce online stores have been launched.
