United Recovery Systems, a first- and third-party debt collection firm, has named George Williams as chief financial officer (CFO).

After beginning his career in 1978 as an auditor with Deloitte Haskins & Sells, Williams moved on to various senior positions in asset management and financial services, including executive vice president (EVP) and CFO at Equitable Real Estate Investment Management (1994-1997), and senior vice president (SVP) of finance and administration at OneSource (1997-2001). Most recently, he served as CFO for Nationwide Credit, a global call centre and receivables management firm.

Williams holds a BBA from St. Bonaventure University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is a certified public accountant (CPA).
